GILLIAN GROGAN www.gilliangrogan.com
Gillian Grogan is a singer, songwriter and guitarist based in Sonoma County, California that sounds a bit like if Joni Mitchell and Freddie Mercury had a baby, musically speaking… Untamed and untethered, Grogan drifts between genres with her tickled strings and floating vocals, her hammered riffs and belted requests. We All Need Someone To Shout For calls it "powerhouse emotive folk storytelling in the vein of Laura Marling". It is the alchemy of a pure yet earthy voice that can silence a room. The Woven Collective calls it "an unforgiving tuggin' at your roots, no matter where you come from, her lyrics wash over you like gentle reminders of another life you haven't had yet." She calls it full-bodied folk. Pairs well with massive vistas, bustling gardens, light mischief, hope and driving alone.
SOPHIA CORINNE www.sophiacorinne.com
Sophia Corrine harvests poetry for the lines of each song from her life, one lived paying attention. Her songs are witness to the raw difficulties and layered radiant joys that every heart bears. In both writing and voice, Sophia’s songs offer the companionship of something beautiful for us to hold close in any season.
Since 2021 she has released multiple EPs and toured extensively across North America. Sophia Corinne is currently based in Asheville, NC.
MIRANDA MALLARD www.mirandamallard.com
Where legato, melodic, heartfelt singing and raw, ethereal songwriting meet. Miranda has sought to find her own unique voice and style from the tradition of song weavers such as Joni Mitchell, Vashti Bunyan, Sufjan Stevens, Regina Spektor, Feist, Joanna Newsom, and Anais Mitchell.
Like the bards of old, she braids the stories and musings of her own life as well as the inspiration in the world around her creating songs that reflect on motherhood, broken hearts, beauty and injustice. Her music is contemplative, full of longing, and takes the listener to an internal world. Miranda’s recordings are dreamy, lush, and filled with textural harmonies harkening back to her classical training, choral background, female duo Dagmar, and trio Rock Paper Scissors. Her debut solo album, 'Shenadune,' was released in July 2023.
Originally from the cornfields of Iowa, Miranda currently resides in the California Bay Area.
